When a person browses through the app or website of Amazon, it will gradually start knowing about you as per your browsing history. When you open your recommendations section, you will notice that the app not only keeps the track on your purchases, but it also shows every product you have searched earlier.

This recommendation often helps while making purchases in the future as they also highlight some of the best selling products which you have not even looked into. But there are many other reasons that you should not allow the system to track your interests.

There are times when your account is shared by your loved ones, and you are planning to purchase a surprise gift for them and don’t want to let them know. There are also times when you are tired of seeing the ads based on your browsing history. Whatever may be the reason there is also a solution, meaning the app allows its users to clear Amazon search history, and in this article, we will let you know how to do it step by step.

Same way, you have to clear Amazon search history on any computer that you have logged into on Amazon. The steps to delete the search history on the computer are also very simple.

  • There will be a sub-menu in your browsing history option where you can delete all the items, just like the way that we have mentioned above.

Archive Amazon orders for hiding them

When you are hiding your Amazon Orders, you cannot delete the order history of your account. This is because the app will still be able to maintain your search records even if you disable your account. However, you still have an option where you can hide your purchase history by archiving it. Follow these steps:

  • Visit the home page of your Amazon app.
  • Tap on the order section situated on the top right corner of your homepage.
  • Here you will see all the orders you have made based on the date.
  • Left side of each order there will be some actions. Tap on the Archive Order beneath the order to hide it.
  • A confirmation message will appear and you need to click on “Archive Order” button again for removing that particular item from your past orders.

The vital point to note here is that Amazon only allows you to archive only 100 orders. Thus, you have to select the orders carefully. However, the orders will still be visible on your account page. If you wish to move those orders back to your past orders section, then just click on “Unarchive Order,” and you are done. This is also one of the best options to clear Amazon search history.
